I'm a writer, strategist and creative collaborator and, most recently, the co-author of Jean Hough Davey’s memoir, The Only Woman in the Room: The Making of a Stockbroker (2017). In essence, I work with words.
Clients engage me to articulate their stories. As a writer, I create narrative and develop content vehicles. As a strategist, I shape messages, package concepts, identify market positioning. And as a creative collaborator, I work with clients to find their voice, distill their messages and bring book ideas to life.
I started as a reporter with Global Television News in Toronto, then freelanced abroad in Paris and Cairo for CBC and CNN. Following that, I was an agency copywriter, worked in politics, wrote for magazines and spent a decade leading strategic communications for publicly traded entertainment companies. From my first job in a live TV newsroom to navigating today’s multi-screen universe, my currency has always been content.
In parallel, I’m a partner in a communications consultancy specializing in lifestyle, arts, entertainment and culture. For more, go here: www.danielsohaganprojects.com.

She’s professional, wonderful to work with, and someone I would trust implicitly with a wide-range of book projects.”
